Issue 1
Welcome to our new home
Two apps you can use today, and where to find us.
Hello there,
We’ve rebuilt happymachines.company from scratch. It’s where you’ll find what we make, the two of us behind it, and Updates, where we write about what ships. This newsletter is the short version, in your inbox.
Spades Audio
Volume, output and EQ for every app on your Mac, right from the menu bar. Set a volume for each app, send each one to whichever output you choose, and shape it all with a 10-band EQ. It’s in public beta, a one-time purchase with a free 14-day trial. Lately, much of the work has gone into AirPlay, and we’d love to hear about your speakers.
DockTile
Group your apps into iPhone-style folders, right in your Dock. Each tile opens as a grid or a list, with an SF Symbol or an emoji for its icon. DockTile 2.0 brought everything into one window and rebuilt the icons, so tiles sit on Apple’s icon grid beside their neighbours.
Before you go
Lango, the third machine on the bench, is getting ready for early access. It’s for people who need simpler communication tools, and you’ll hear about it here first. One more thing: at the very bottom of every page, our name looks good enough to eat.
